Molecular Snapshots was inspired by my interest in science and photography. I decided to explore molecular biology in our everyday lives using my camera. This is in the form of a scientific photo essay. I chose molecular biology as a focus because it deals with the idea of infinity–of endless possibility. The thought that I may have been a fundamentally different being had molecular biology played its hand differently intrigues me. For, humans share several of the same “biological codings” as that of say…a frog. That’s random, I know, but you get the point. Through this project, I hope to learn more about molecular biology as well as sharing my findings with my community through a website and an exhibit.
